Drilling Rig MI8 in Dubai
News from our jobsite in the Middle East!
We are currently following a very important project in Dubai: our client’s goal is to install a water well and he chose our MI8 to fulfill this task. This rig can drill up to 260 meters, it has a pull up capacity of 15 tons and it has been mounted on truck to be able to face any soil condition.
The most functional feature of this MI8 is certainly its automated controlling system! It is fully radio remote controlled and it has an automatic charging system for the rods on board.
High quality rigs require high quality assistance, so we worked on the commissioning phase side by side with our customer: its staff is now trained to control the drilling rig in every aspect, from the maintenance to the safety system.
We were there when the first hole has been drilled! We drilled the first 18 meters with a 350 mm diameter and positioned the casing for the shallow well.
